Common Name: Persian Violet, Alpine Violet
Description: RHS Award of Garden Merit. Lovely white or pink flowers on 8" stems make a spectacular show in the shady garden in late summer-early fall. Beautiful, marbled foliage in spring dies down in summer; must not be overwatered. Needs a well-drained location, especially in winter. In Zone 5, mulch for winter.
